MESA, Ariz. – Authorities have released the name of a woman found dead
inside an east Mesa smoke shop as they continue to search for suspects in the
killing.
Mesa police said Tuesday that the victim was 51-year-old Mi-Sum Price, who was
known to her customers as “Mimi.”
The Gilbert woman immigrated from South Korea with her parents at age 7 and
owned the Cigarettes 4 Less store.
Police say the case is a homicide and they believe Price was killed during a
robbery.
A customer found her dead behind the store’s counter Sunday night.
Police say her body showed signs of trauma, but they aren’t releasing
information yet on how Price was killed.
Customers say Price worked 12-hour days, seven days a week and had plans to
open a second store.
