The Arizona Department of Transportation’s construction plan
for the next five years has been approved by the state
transportation board, ADOT said in a press release.
The projects on the five-year plan, which will take the
state from 2013 to 2017, include highway, transit and
aeronautics projects.
The plan also lays out how the projects will be carried out
and where the funding will come from. ADOT was able to cut
its average yearly budget from $1.1 billion to $940 million,
primarily due to funding cuts.
