Long-term Valley residents know Arizona is a favorite destination for retirees, and a national publication backed up that fact.
According to Forbes, both Phoenix and Tucson are among the top 25 areas for retirement.
Phoenix was chosen because it has a good tax environment, low cost of living, good weather, high number of doctors and home prices that average $119,000.
Tucson made the list for its low cost of living and taxes, good weather, encouraging an active retirement, plenty of doctors and a median home price of $131,000.
Each city had a poor economy listed as its only negative.
