Border Patrol agents seized 94 bundles of marijuana from a vehicle abandoned in the Arizona desert on Thursday.

A vehicle was spotted crossing the border east of Lochiel, Arizona by a Border Patrol aircraft. The aircraft maintained visual contact with the vehicle and gave directions to agents on the ground.

As the agents approached, the passengers inside the vehicle fled and crossed the border back into Mexico.

Agents located the Chevrolet Suburban and found 2,317 pounds of marijuana inside.

The marijuana is valued at about $1.1 million.
