1 firefighter dead, 2 injured in Arizona crash

SELLS, Ariz. – One firefighter is dead after a fire truck rolled over in
rough terrain southwest of Tucson.
Authorities say the crash occurred about 8 a.m. Friday while a crew was headed
to a wildfire in the Baboquivari Mountains near Sells.
The dead firefighter was working for the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs, which
is the agency overseeing the management of the 1,700-acre fire. I
The Montezuma Fire is 90 percent contained after burning for 10 days on the
Tohono O’odham Nation west of Tucson.
The name of the dead firefighter is being withheld until relatives are
notified.
Authorities say three firefighters were in a large truck that had
self-contained field firefighting apparatus when it rolled on Federal Route 19.
The other two firefighters were treated and released from a Sells hospital.
