PHOENIX — Current Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton leads the polls with 65.23 percent of the votes for mayor as of 11:00 p.m.
Running for a second term against challengers Anna Maria Brennan and Matthew Jette, many have assumed Stanton would have an easy race. Brennan appears to have 28.95 percent of votes, while Jette has 5.82 percent.
At an election event at Stanton headquarters, Stanton addressed voters and thanked them for their support.
Phoenix.gov has all the unofficial results from the mayor and council election including the decision on Proposition 104, the comprehensive transportation plan. Stanton has been a champion of Proposition 104.
