PHOENIX — Phoenix police are ready to open the doors of the agency’s
museum in a new home.
Mayor Greg Stanton and Police Chief Daniel Garcia are among the officials who
will open the Phoenix Police Museum on Wednesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The new museum will be located at the site of the original police headquarters
inside Historic City Hall.
City officials said the museum will feature a replica of an 1800s-era jail cell,
interactive displays and a memorial room with stained-glass windows honoring
fallen officers.
They said this new location offers a much larger space to showcase the
department’s equipment from the past.
