Crash involving semi causes delays in both directions on I-10 in Chandler

A crash near Elliot Road on I-10 in Chandler
caused major delays during rush hour on Monday.
A US mail truck hit the median wall and there was debris
all over the freeway.
Two left westbound lanes were closed with a delay of up
to three
miles and the HOV lane eastbound was closed and backed up
traffic for eight miles.
Injuries are reported to be involved but there is not
specific information on the extent of those injuries.
Delays clocked in at over one hour.
The freeway was cleared about 7:15 p.m.
