Man’s body found inside Peoria home after fire

PHOENIX – Authorities say a man’s body has been found inside a Peoria home
after a fire was extinguished.
A 911 call was received about 2:45 p.m. Friday from neighbors regarding a fire
in the 7900 block of West Cheryl Drive.
Peoria Fire Department officials say flames and thick smoke had spread
throughout the house by the time units arrived.
Fire officials found the man’s body in the back of house.
The victim’s name hasn’t been released, but The Arizona Republic says he’s 57 years old.
Authorities say they’re waiting for investigators to determine the cause of
death.
They say the fire’s cause is under investigation.
