Hiking in Arizona named one of world’s top desert activities

For Valley residents, one of the top desert attractions in the world is not far away.
According to CNN Go, one of the best desert activities on the planet is a hike though Arizona’s Sonoran Desert.
One of the world’s most “alive” deserts, a slow-paced trek through Sonoran desert allows you to see coyotes, roadrunners, mountain lions, zebra-striped lizards and more amazing desert-dwelling critters, as well as what hike organizers describe as a “botanical garden of desert plants.”
Some of the other top desert activities are sand sliding in China, horseback riding in Namibia and dune bashing in the United Arab Emirates.
