Phoenix Police are investigating the discovery of a possible flashlight bomb Friday at a thrift store near Bell Road and 19th Avenue.
The Goodwill store called Phoenix Police, “because of all that’s been going on,” said Sgt. Trent Crump.
Exploding flashlight devices have gone off around the Valley for the past two weeks. Two such devices went off in Glendale two weeks ago.
Last week, a flashlight found in a donation bin exploded at a Salvation Army center in Phoenix, injuring two employees.
No motive or suspect has been determined. The danger has caused Goodwill to stop accepting donations of flashlights.
