PHOENIX — A federal grand jury has indicted 19 people after a gang and
drug enforcement operation on the Fort Apache reservation in northeastern
Arizona.
Prosecutors said Thursday that 18 of the suspects are in custody. Their names and ages haven’t been released yet.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Phoenix said charges include drug trafficking and
firearms violations along with charges stemming from a gang-related assault.
The indictments and arrests are the culmination of efforts by the FBI, Arizona
Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Indian Affairs and other federal
agencies.
