Learning martial arts is not easy. Just ask the “Karate Kid.” Did you see how many cars he had to wax or how many fences he had to paint?

Mastering martial arts is a long process that really needs to begin on the right foot — or with your right foot going through something, either way.

This little boy had to learn the hard way that breaking a board doesn’t just happen on the first day of taekwondo class. You have to master the movement, feel the rhythm of the world around you and experience inner peace (we read that in a brochure once).

His teacher encouraged…and encouraged…and encouraged the boy to try and break the board, but the young student just couldn’t quite get it. He tried his little heart out though, and it was adorable.

Finally, he manages to break the board and earn his white belt. We’re pretty sure his teacher needs to tell him, “You’re the Best Around.”

Note: We’re fully aware taekwondo and karate are different. Both are highly respected fighting styles. But you can’t deny it’s an awesome movie with an even better soundtrack.
