A New Zealand father has gotten a cochlear implant tattooed on his head to match his daughter’s real one.
Alistair Campbell shaved his head to better show off the sweet tattoo he got in support of Charlotte, 6, according to Buzzfeed.
Charlotte had a cochlear implant put in when she was 4, after she was diagnosed as profoundly deaf in the left ear. She recently had another implanted in the right ear after it was discovered that she can’t properly transmit sound waves in that ear.
The Campbell family is a part of the Hear4kidz Trust, which supports families with deaf children in New Zealand.
This probably cements Alistair as a strong Father of the Year candidate.
