PHOENIX — A new neighborhood called Cyrene at Skyline is ready to welcome renters in search of single-family homes in the West Valley.
The built-to-rent community in Waddell, near Luke Air Force Base, is holding an opening event with food and prizes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Waddell is an unincorporated Maricopa County community bordered by Surprise and Glendale.
Cyrene at Skyline is located on the northwest corner of Olive Avenue and Citrus Road, about 30 miles northwest of downtown Phoenix.

The public is invited to tour the neighborhood’s model homes and enjoy taco truck fare and mini pies during Saturday’s event.
Guests who take the tour can enter a raffle for a 65-inch television and a new bicycle.
Cyrene at Skyline, a project of Phoenix-based Curve Development, provides renters with a private single-family home experience without the trappings of homeownership.
The neighborhood consists of 102 three- and four-bedroom homes with floor plans ranging from 1,433 to 2,091 square feet. Each unit has a two-car garage and private turf yards along with smart home technology.
The interiors feature wood-style plank flooring, quartz countertops and modern kitchen design.
“We’re thrilled to offer this single-family home luxury rental living opportunity to the West Valley,” Nathan Pile, Curve Development CEO, said in a press release. “This community features both a fitness center and a pool, and is perfect for families looking for privacy without the barriers of homeownership.”
