PHOENIX — Arizona experienced its fair share of rainy weather on Sunday, with some parts of the Valley even seeing hail.
Storms were anticipated for this weekend, with Phoenix’s Sunday precipitation potential hovering at 45% from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Although it was light (less than a tenth of an inch) and is expected to remain so, the Valley recorded its first showers since Oct. 18.
Scattered showers continue to push slowly southeastward. The intensity of the showers have gone down, but a few hundredths of an inch of rain is possible with any shower. Another round is coming in from the north. Activity should come to an end in Phoenix around 7-8 PM MST. #azwx pic.twitter.com/YHdqEhi2p2

Fans at State Farm Stadium for the Arizona Cardinals’ afternoon matchup against the Chicago Bears experienced just that, with rain and hail seeping through an open roof onto the field before the stadium ultimately closed its roof.
Temperatures were lower than usual, with a high of 73 degrees and a low of 53 degrees.
The Valley was treated with a double rainbow, adding a delightful touch to a stormy day.

The Valley should experience continued light showers until 8 p.m.
On Monday, the chances of rainfall and thunderstorms will diminish. Phoenix can expect temperatures to remain in the 70s the entire work week.
Snow up north
While the Valley experienced rainfall for the first time since Aug. 22, rain and snow are expected up north throughout the night and into Monday morning.
Showers will intensify in the White Mountains, where the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from Sunday morning until 5 a.m. on Monday.
Rain/snow/thunderstorms will push east for the rest of today and into tonight. Showers will be most active overnight in the White Mtns, where a Winter Weather Advisory remains until 5 AM MST Monday. Snow showers can coat roads quickly, slow down, so everybody can get home. #azwx pic.twitter.com/fCdtqag3tg
