Highway northeast of metro Phoenix temporarily closed after crash

PHOENIX — Part of State Route 87 northeast of metro Phoenix was temporarily closed after a crash on Friday morning, authorities said.
Northbound SR 87, also known as the Beeline Highway, was shut down before 6 a.m. near the Bush Highway east of Fountain Hills, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

SR 87 northbound is closed at Bush Highway due to a crash near milepost 204.
There is no estimated time to reopen the highway.

SR 87 is the main route between the Valley and the Payson area.
Motorists were advised to expect delays or seek alternate routes.
Officials reopened the highway before 7:45 a.m. The southbound lanes were not affected by the crash.
