I-10 temporarily closed in Phoenix after fatal vehicle-pedestrian collision

PHOENIX — A fatal vehicle-pedestrian collision impeded traffic on a Phoenix freeway before rush hour revved up Friday morning, authorities said.
Eastbound Interstate 10 was temporarily closed near the I-17 “Stack” interchange after the collision, which occurred before 4 a.m.
The pedestrian died after being taken to a hospital, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The roadway reopened before 6 a.m., before the crash could cause a significant disruption on the morning commute.
No other details about the vehicle-pedestrian collision were immediately available.
