PHOENIX – The Arizona Lottery reported two lucrative wins over the weekend, including a $1 million jackpot.
The new pretax millionaire bought the golden The Pick ticket at a Scottsdale gas station.
The entry from the Circle K at 10200 N. Scottsdale Road, south of Shea Boulevard, matched all six winning numbers in Saturday’s drawing: 13, 21, 24, 25, 32 and 42.
The Pick is statewide game with drawings every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Each entry costs $1, and the odds of hitting the jackpot are 1 in over 7 million.
Saturday’s jackpot was the game’s second this month. A player who bought a ticket at a Phoenix Circle K hit the $1.6 million top prize on Oct. 8.
What was the weekend’s other big Arizona Lottery win?
Meanwhile, a West Valley Powerball ticket earned its purchaser a $50,000 prize on Saturday.
The entry from the Fry’s Marketplace at Watson and Yuma roads in Buckeye matched four of the five white numbers drawn – 7, 16, 19, 45 and 64 — plus the red Powerball of 25.
The odds of hitting that combination in Powerball are 1 in over 900,000. Drawings for the national game of chance, which costs $2 per entry, are held Monday, Wednesday and Saturday nights.
Powerball is sanctioned in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
As with all Arizona Lottery games, Saturday’s big winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their payouts.
