About 600 acres of prime land along Interstate 10 is being envisioned for a future mixed-use center with housing and commercial development. It will serve as an entrance into Casa Grande south of Phoenix.
Phoenix-based Arizona Land Consulting paid $38.1 million in all cash for the site in October, outbidding a handful of other companies looking at the property.
“It was pretty competitive, there were multiple developers that had bid on it,” said Anita Verma-Lallian, founder and CEO of Arizona Land Consulting. “What was attractive to the seller with us is we did a pretty quick deal, we didn’t put it in escrow for a very long time.”
Located just across from the Promenade at Casa Grande, the site is one of the last pieces of property in the immediate area that has yet to be developed, she said. Companies want to bring more housing and commercial amenities to support the employment growth of Casa Grande and Pinal County.
