Dirt is finally moving on the Arizona debut of convenience store giant Buc-ee’s.
The city of Goodyear has confirmed that the Texas-based convenience store operator has started site grading to prepare the property for utility work and construction. Buc-ee’s is expected to open its new location along Interstate 10 by the end of 2025.
Once built, the store will total 75,400 square feet with 120 gas pumps and feature its trademark sparkling bathrooms, made-to-order sandwiches, homemade fudge and beef jerky wall.
Buc-ee’s started site grading in October, about half a year after it acquired 22 acres at the southeast corner of Bullard Avenue and I-10 for $17.24 million. It also received zoning approval in January for its project.
