PHOENIX – President Joe Biden plans to visit Arizona next week “to participate in an official event,” the White House announced Wednesday morning.
The president will be in the state Oct. 24-25 (next Thursday and Friday) for the unspecified event.
No other details about the trip were included in the announcement.
It will be Biden’s first time in Arizona since he ended his reelection bid in July and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to be the Democratic presidential nominee in the 2024 general election.
Biden’s last visit to the Grand Canyon State was in March, when he visited the Chandler Intel campus to tout federal investments in the semiconductor industry.
Harris has been to State 48 three times since becoming the nominee, most recently for campaign events in Chandler and Scottsdale last week.
