3 Valley Walmarts adding pet centers with grooming, veterinary services

PHOENIX — Three Walmart stores in Chandler, Glendale and Mesa will soon expand with added pet centers.
The first of the three stores to expand and offer grooming and veterinary services will be in Glendale.
The pet center near 83rd Avenue and Union Hills Drive is opening this Thursday. There will be a ribbon cutting and community celebration from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Treats for dogs and cats will be provided. On top of that, there will be a pet-friendly Halloween costume fashion show.
What about the pet centers in Chandler and Mesa?
The pet center will open in the Chandler Walmart near Pecos Road and Arizona Avenue next Friday.
The store will be Walmart’s fifth pet center in the U.S. Services will include vaccines, wellness exams and other minor medical services.
On top of that, the pet center will offer a self-service dog wash and pet prescription delivery.
Those who visit the grand opening can take home free pet food samples. On top of that, there will be an adoption bus from Maricopa County Animal Care and Control.
The grand opening will run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Lastly, the Mesa pet center in the Walmart near McKellips and Greenfield roads will open on Nov. 2.
