PHOENIX — The Arizona US Senate debate between between Kari Lake and Ruben Gallego occurred on Oct. 9.

The highly anticipated debate is the final major clash between the two candidates in a race that could decide control of the Senate come 2025.

The winner of the seat will replace Kyrsten Sinema, the one-time Democrat who became an independent and did not seek reelection.

Lake is the Republican nominee, having defeated Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb in the primary. Lake has never held political office and unsuccessfully ran for Arizona governor in 2022.

Gallego is the Democratic nominee. He ran unopposed and is departing from his role as Arizona’s 3rd Congressional District representative.

The general election is set for Nov. 5.
