PHOENIX — The Arizona 6th Congressional District general election debate occurred on Oct. 8.
Incumbent Republican Juan Ciscomani and Democrat Kirsten Engel faced off in the debate less than a month before the Nov. 5 general election.
Ciscomani, Arizona’s first naturalized American from Mexico elected to Congress, and Engel have gone head-to-head for the district before.
Ciscomani edged Engel in the 2022 general election.
Engel ran unopposed in the 2024 primary election while Ciscomani held off a challenge from Kathleen Winn.
Engel has previously served in both chambers of the Arizona Legislature.
Arizona’s 6th Congressional District spans five counties across the southern part of the state.
