Amazing Arizonans: Country music legend W. Steven Martin on commitment to community

PHOENIX — I sat down with country music legend W. Steven Martin.

I was a LONG time listener of W. He is a country music DJ Hall of Famer from an era where the DJs chose the playlists and could help or hurt an artists career by playing (or not playing) their songs.

What I admire most about W is his commitment to the community. His charity toy drives still collect millions of toys for cops to give to kids, using his notoriety and popularity to get other celebrities and listeners to show up and donate.

He has met the biggest names in country music. He has raised awareness for the most worthwhile causes in the valley. He’s done it all selflessly and humbly.

I hope you enjoy the conversation.
