Amazing Arizonans: Jay Dobyns on undercover law enforcement career, return to civilian life

PHOENIX — Jay Dobyns is truly an “Amazing Arizonan.”
He was a standout receiver at the University of Arizona.
After college he turned to a career in law enforcement, becoming an ATF agent. He was nearly killed his first week on the job.
He specialized in very dangerous undercover work. His most notable assignment was infiltrating and becoming the first federal agent to become a full patch member of the Hell’s Angels.
Jay tells us the dangers he faced and the fallout that followed and his road back to civilian life. He’s written two books about his experiences, “No Angel” and “Catching Hell.” His story is very compelling. I hope you enjoy it.
