PHOENIX — A man was killed and a woman was hospitalized in connection with a one-vehicle crash in Phoenix on Friday night.

According to police, the male driver of the vehicle lost control of it while driving northbound on Cave Creek Road near Mountain View Road and struck a female pedestrian and multiple parked cars around 8:20 p.m.

The driver suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The pedestrian, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

No other details of the accident were immediately released.
