Police investigating after man killed in shooting in east Phoenix

PHOENIX – A man is dead after an east Phoenix shooting on Tuesday night, and no arrests have been made, authorities said.
Officers responded to a shooting call near a home in the area of 26th Place and Monte Vista Road around 9:30 p.m., according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The location is in a neighborhood northeast of 24th Street and McDowell Road, near the Grand Canal.
They found a man with at least one gunshot wound. The victim, who was identified Saturday as 25-year-old Damian Marler, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other details about the Phoenix shooting were made available. The investigation is still ongoing.
