PHOENIX – Part of the Loop 303 in the West Valley was closed for several hours Monday morning after a crash involving a motorcycle, authorities said.
Northbound traffic was forced to exit at Northern Parkway until the closure was lifted around 8 a.m., according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
A pickup truck allegedly hit the motorcycle from behind between Northern Parkway and Peoria Avenue in Waddell just after 2:15 a.m., according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The rider was thrown into the roadway, and the truck dragged the motorcycle about three-quarters of a mile up Loop 303, DPS said.
