PHOENIX — A luxury kitchen appliance warehouse was recently completed in Goodyear along the Loop 303 corridor after breaking ground in January 2023, two construction agencies announced Thursday.
Sub-Zero Group, Inc., located near Camelback Road and Cotton Lane, sits on 36 acres of land and takes up nearly 600,000 square feet of industrial space.
ViaWest Group and building partner Willmeng Construction celebrated the industrial project’s completion with a ribbon-cutting event. The Phoenix-based commercial companies hosted Goodyear mayor Joe Pizzillo and other city council members to commemorate the moment.

The building features HVAC units meant to be more sustainable than the norm and 34 truck bays designed for come-and-go distribution.
The $118 million investment is the second Sub-Zero location to open in Goodyear, the first finished in 2011. According to the Phoenix Business Journal, the new warehouse will create 143 jobs that pay an average annual salary of $52,000 over five years.
Roughly $600 million in economic impact and $5.6 million in property tax revenue is expected to be generated over the next 10 years.
“We have our track record here, so we know the workforce, the talent and people, everywhere else you go is an unknown,” Scott Wareing, senior vice president of operations and product for Sub-Zero, said in a Phoenix Business Journal interview on Wednesday.
The Wisconsin-based company has now expanded to three total locations in the Valley, the other two being in Phoenix near Van Buren Street and 35th Avenue and at Indian School Road and Cotton Lane in Goodyear.
“We are extremely proud that one of our existing Goodyear manufacturers continues to choose Goodyear with this new expansion project. Sub-Zero was the first manufacturing company in PV303, the first manufacturer in the Greater Maricopa Foreign Trade Zone in 2011, and is currently our seventh largest employer,” Mayor Joe Pizzillo of Goodyear said in a press release.
