PHOENIX – This year’s version of the Persian New Year Festival will feature three events over four days starting Feb. 28 in Scottsdale.
The annual festival, now in its sixth year of existence, is staged so the area’s Persian community can celebrate and share traditions with family, friends and neighbors.
The main event of the Persian New Year Festival, which will feature Persian and Middle Eastern foods and cultural vendors, is slated for Saturday, March 2 from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Scottsdale Waterfront (4420 N. Scottsdale Rd.).
Local talent and influencer Leila Parnian and video creator Farzam Kazemi will co-host the event, with singer Andy Madadian headlining the main stage along with other performers and entertainers throughout the day.
The 2024 version of the festival has added a fashion show at Scottsdale’s Museum of the West on Feb. 28, and a musical performance, Voices Unveiled, at the Stagebrush Theater in Scottsdale on Feb. 29.
“We are thrilled to bring the Persian New Year Festival back to Scottsdale for another wonderful Spring celebration,” festival co-founder Lawdan Shojaee said. “This year, we are providing a fashion show and musical performance featuring a wide variety of vendors prior to our all-day Saturday celebration at Scottsdale Waterfront.”
