Correction: Haiti-UN-Armed Force story

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — In a story published September 30, 2023, about the U.N. Security Council scheduling a vote on a resolution that would authorize a one-year deployment of an international force to Haiti, The Associated Press erroneously reported that the resolution noted that the Security Council intends to impose additional sanctions on Jimmy Chérizier, known as “Barbecue.” It should have said the Security Council intends to impose additional sanctions on those who contribute to Haiti’s violence. The U.N. has already imposed sanctions on Jimmy Chérizier, known as “Barbecue.”
