PHOENIX – A family-friendly arcade that boasts skill-based nonviolent games is set to celebrate its grand opening in Scottsdale on Saturday.

Cyber Quest Family Arcade at Arizona Boardwalk is already open daily from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. near the Loop 101 Pima Freeway and Via de Ventura, part of the Salt River-Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.

The gallery features 40 family-focused total redemption, crane and video games, the arcade said in a press release.

Admission is free but playing games requires a Cyber Quest Club card, which costs $1. Winners’ redemption tickets are stored on the card and be redeemed right away or saved to put toward a larger prize later.

Game prices average between 50 cents and $2. Credits on the card don’t expire, the Minnesota-based company said on its website FAQs.

Prizes range from small toys to high-end technology, the arcade said.

The arcade plans to be available in the coming months for birthday parties, team-building events and other outings.

“We are thrilled to have Cyber Quest join our line-up of family-focused attractions at Arizona Boardwalk,” boardwalk managing partner Ran Knishinksy said last wummer when plans for the arcade were announced.

Cyber Quest is situated on the ground floor of the boardwalk near the soon-to-open Museum of Illusions.

We want to hear from you.
