PHOENIX — Cartel Roasting Co. has a new store at Desert Ridge Marketplace in north Phoenix.

Cartel Desert Ridge will host a grand opening event Saturday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. with giveaways and contests for guests.

The first 25 visitors in line will receive a free gift, and anyone who stops by the store throughout the day can enter a sweepstakes to win free coffee for a year or a six-month bulk coffee subscription for one’s office.

Cartel Desert Ridge is located near the AMC movie theater, next to Cold Stone Creamery and overlooking the splash pad. The company describes the vibe of the store on its website as, “Jennifer Coolidge making friendship bracelets with Danny Devito.”

The location will offer Cartel’s full menu of coffee beverages, and 10% of proceeds from each bag of coffee sold will benefit local nonprofits such as Nourish Phoenix.

The new location will be Cartel’s 10th in Arizona and 12th overall. It has one store in California and another in Texas.

Cartel was founded in Tempe in 2007.

We want to hear from you.
