PHOENIX — While some people may find it difficult to stick to a New Year’s resolution, Scottsdale was ranked as one of the best cities in the nation to fulfill those goals.

Other Valley cities to crack the top 50 were Chandler at No. 26, Tempe No. 27, Gilbert No. 35 and Phoenix No. 49.
The dimensions used to compare the resolutions were health, financial, school and work, relationships and bad habits.
Scottsdale ranked No. 4 in health resolutions, a drop from No. 1 last year.
The city also placed No. 10 in school and work resolutions and No. 11 in financial resolutions. In 2022, the former placed No. 1 and the latter No. 6.
Overall, last year, Scottsdale was the best city in the nation to keep a New Year’s resolution.

The most difficult place in the country to keep a New Year’s resolution was Newark, New Jersey, ranking No. 181 in financial and school and work resolutions.
