1 dead, 3 hospitalized following 2-vehicle crash in Phoenix

PHOENIX — A man was killed and three others were seriously injured after a crash in Phoenix Monday night, authorities said.
Officers responded to the crash around 7:30 p.m. near 67th Avenue and Jomax Road and found two vehicles involved in the wreck, the Phoenix Police Department said in a press release.
Two men, a driver and passenger, were turning left from El Cortez Place onto 67th Avenue when their vehicle was struck by another vehicle carrying two others, a man and woman, traveling south on 67th Avenue.
Both drivers and passengers were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.
The driver of one of the vehicles, 61-year-old Ruben Garcia, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Impairment is not yet known in the investigation.
The investigation remains ongoing.
