PHOENIX — Gather around. The results for the most popular baby names in Arizona for 2022 are in, and unsurprisingly, Olivia and Liam remained the top beloved name for parents.

The No. 1 names have outshined all others on the list for years, according to the Arizona Department of Health Services.

This is the seventh consecutive year Liam made it to the top name for boys while it became the fourth consecutive year for the name Olivia.

The top 10 entries for girls were unchanged from the previous year, although some names were in different spots. Luna, for example, slipped from fifth to 10th, while Isabella climbed from fifth to third.

For girls, nine of the 10 names that made it into the top 10 end with an “a.” The tenth most popular name Charlotte was the only exception.

The top boy names saw a slight change, as only one out of ten names is new to the list.

Ezra moved into the No. 10 spot, up from 14th in 2021, while Benjamin slid from seventh to 12th.

Olivia and Liam are also the most popular nationally, alongside Emma and Noah, the Arizona Department of Health Services said.
