PHOENIX — Two men died Wednesday after an apparent murder-suicide at a Phoenix business, authorities said.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 4:40 p.m. near 19th Avenue and Bethany Home Road, the Phoenix Police Department said in a press release.

A fight broke out between employee Shane Knoll, 30, and 40-year-old Jaime Flores after Knoll tried to kick Flores out of the store, police said.

Knoll pulled out a gun during the altercation and Flores took hold of it.

Flores shot Knoll before leaving the store and turning the weapon on himself.

When officers arrived they found Knoll with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene by fire personnel.

Flores was taken to a hospital and was pronounced dead.

The investigation remains ongoing.
