Mega Millions lottery ticket sold in Phoenix wins $1M in latest drawing

Dec 21, 2022, 11:49 AM

PHOENIX — It’s a very happy holiday season for one lucky Arizona Lottery player.

A ticket good for $1 million in Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing was purchased from the Fry’s grocery store at 43rd Avenue and Cactus Road in Phoenix.

The entry matched the five white balls drawn — 3, 4, 33, 36 and 52 — but missed on the Mega Ball of 17.

The winner has until June 18, 2023 — 180 days from the draw date — to claim the windfall.

There wasn’t a jackpot winner Tuesday, pushing the top prize to $510 million (or about $266.8 million for the cash option) for the next Mega Millions drawing on Friday.

Mega Millions tickets cost $2 each and are sold at more than 3,000 Arizona Lottery locations statewide.

The odds of winning $1 million in the twice-weekly game are 1 in 12,607,306 per entry.
