PHOENIX – It’s been a big week in Arizona as the state continues to make national and international headlines.
If you’re having trouble keeping up, don’t worry.
KTAR’s Arizona’s News Roundup podcast covers all the top stories in the state to keep you informed on your time.
KTAR breaking news editor Taylor Kinnerup breaks down the biggest stories of the week:
– Phoenix Mercury star Brittney Griner was released from a Russian prison Thursday morning after a prisoner swap for an arms dealer. The move from the White House has drawn a mixed response but a majority of Arizona’s congressional delegation is celebrating Griner’s safe return. The podcast highlights reactions with exclusive audio.
– Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company has more than tripled its Arizona investment to $40 billion. The move is expected to create thousands of jobs. Politicians on both sides of the aisle are taking credit for the investment.
– President Joe Biden visited the TSMC factory that’s currently under construction in north Phoenix but did not visit the border. A few Arizona officials were unhappy with the decision.
– The Respect for Marriage Act has passed and it’s a big win for one of Arizona’s U.S. senators.
The podcast also looked ahead at what’s to come in the next few weeks before Title 42 ends and how one school may vote to bring law enforcement officers back on campus.
