Woman accused of fatally stabbing father during argument in Phoenix

PHOENIX – A woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing her father to death Tuesday in Phoenix, authorities said.
Officers responded to a call near 29th and Sweetwater avenues around 5:30 p.m. and found a man with a stab wound, the Phoenix Police Department said in a press release. Cory Little, 44, died of his injuries.
When contacted, 27-year-old Shaqueila Hudson indicated she stabbed Little during an argument, police said.
After investigators processed the scene and interviewed witnesses, Hudson was taken into custody.
She was booked into jail on one count of manslaughter.
Authorities initially said Little was Hudson’s boyfriend.
No other details were immediately available.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Based on the initial press release from the Phoenix Police Department, earlier versions of this story incorrectly said Little was Hudson’s boyfriend. Police later sent out a correction saying he was her father.
