PHOENIX — Colorado-based restaurant Mici Italian is preparing to open its second Valley location in Queen Creek sometime during the winter.
Construction for the 1,500-square-foot shop, which will be located near Ellsworth and Riggs roads, is already underway, according to a press release.
The 28-seat restaurant will offer dine-in, delivery, catering, curbside and pickup options, according to a press release.
A delivery radius for services hasn’t been announced, but it’s estimated around 15,000 households will be included in the zone.
“With Queen Creek’s family-friendly suburbs and parks, it really is the prime location for our next Mici restaurant opening,” Lucas Farnham, Mici’s Arizona franchisee, said in the release.
“We are excited to bring the Miceli family’s generations-old Italian recipes to the Queen Creek community and to continue to get to know our Phoenix customers.”
The Italian eatery focuses on authentic recipes using natural and unprocessed ingredients.
Some menu items include the Vela pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, creamy pesto, gelato and cannolis.
On opening day, which will be announced on a later date, the first 50 customers in line at 11 a.m. will get free pizza for one year, the release said.
There will also be the chance to participate in Giving Back to HopeKids, a toy drive that gives a child battling a life-threatening medical condition a new toy. All customers who take part in the toy drive will get one free 10-inch pizza.
Items that will be accepted at the toy drive include dolls, Lego sets, video games, board games and gift cards. All gifts must be new and unwrapped to be accepted at the event.
Customers in the Valley can also visit the Gilbert location, which is near Power and Ray roads.
