Drivers should be wary of I-17, Loop 303 closures in north Valley this weekend

PHOENIX — Drivers in the north Valley will have to contend with closures on Interstate 17 and the Loop 303 this weekend, according to state transportation officials.
Southbound I-17 will be closed from Loop 101 to Greenway Road from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a pavement improvement project.
The Loop 101 ramps to southbound I-17, and southbound I-17 on-ramps at Pinnacle Peak Road, Deer Valley Road and Rose Garden Lane will also be closed.

Also, westbound Loop 303 will be closed from I-17 to Lake Pleasant Parkway from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for construction.
The I-17 off-ramps at Loop 303 will be restricted with access limited to Sonoran Desert Drive.
In another North Valley restriction, westbound Thunderbird Road will be closed at times from the northbound I-17 frontage road and around the Metro North Corporate Park from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a regional drainage project.
Finally, Interstate 10 will be narrowed to one lane between Chandler Boulevard and Riggs Road from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Saturday — and 11:30 p.m. Saturday to 8 p.m. Sunday — for pavement sealing.
The ramps connecting I-10 and Loop 202 will be closed at times Saturday. The I-10 ramps between Chandler Boulevard and Riggs Road will also have Saturday closures.
