Twitter CEO Elon Musk part of Arizona GOP candidate Mark Finchem’s account unlocking

Oct 31, 2022, 6:22 PM

PHOENIX — New Twitter CEO and “Chief Twit” Elon Musk has made many headlines since his takeover of the massive social media company.

On Monday, Musk made news when he responded to claims that Arizona Republican Secretary of State candidate Mark Finchem had been “blocked” one week before the election.

Finchem took to Facebook posting that Twitter had “temporarily limited” some of his account features.

“They won’t say what I did wrong. Elon, this is not free speech,” Finchem posted.

Finchem urged his supporters to tag Musk on Twitter saying, “They are trying to put their thumb on the scales of this election.”

“Looking into it,” Musk tweeted just a few hours after the issue.

It is not clear why Finchem’s account was locked but shortly after it was unlocked, the GOP candidate tweeted to Musk, his supporters and other Republican backers.

“We are back! Thank you Elon Musk for stopping the commie who suspended me from Twitter a week before the election. Twitter is much better with you at the helm.”

Musk recently took over Twitter after his $44 billion purchase and has made a myriad of moves on top of Finchem’s account, including firing many top-level executives.

We want to hear from you.
