2 injured, including Phoenix police officer, in multi-vehicle collision

PHOENIX — A Phoenix police officer was one of two people injured in a multi-vehicle collision Monday morning, authorities said.
The wreck near 19th and Northern avenues, which happened around 4:30 a.m., involved a patrol SUV and two other vehicles, the Phoenix Police Department said.
An officer and one of the other drivers were taken to a hospital with injuries that aren’t considered life-threatening, police said.

The intersection of 19th and Northern avenues was closed in all directions while the scene was under investigation.
