PHOENIX – A crash closed eastbound Interstate 10 in Phoenix during Friday’s morning rush, state transportation officials said.
The wreck shut down lanes near 67th Avenue around 6 a.m. until 7:40 a.m., the Arizona Department of Transportation said.
ABC15 reported the crash was fatal.
Drivers were directed off the roadway at Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway while the lanes were closed.
It was the second straight day that section of the freeway was closed in the morning because of a crash.
A fiery fatal wreck shut down that section of freeway Thursday morning. The shutdown lasted for hours.
