Annual Halloween Spooktacular returns to downtown Chandler park

PHOENIX — The annual Halloween Spooktacular returns to downtown Chandler on Friday for all ghosts, goblins and superheroes.
Guests of all ages are invited to Dr. A.J. Chandler Park near Chandler Boulevard and Arizona Avenue from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for a night loaded with activities.
All admission to the event will be free and guests are encouraged to wear costumes to participate in the fun.
The activities include a catwalk costume parade, Trunk-or-Treat, carnival games and a Halloween dance party.
The parade welcomes all ages of kids to participate and will run at 6:15 p.m. and again at 7:30 p.m.
Trunk-or-Treat will have multiple candy stations scattered throughout the park with over 300 pounds of candy.
The carnival games include a spooky prize wheel, musical headstones, pumpkin sack races and inflatable axe throwing for a chance to win a variety of prizes.
Free parking is available on the east side of Arizona Avenue, including the City Hall parking garage, the Johnathan parking garage or the Alexander parking garage.
