PHOENIX — As the Abrazo Cave Creek Hospital celebrates one year since its opening, the public is invited to tour the full-service location on Friday.
The celebration located at Cave Creek Road and Carefree Highway will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The public can tour the facility alongside local healthcare providers, town officials and Emergency Medical Services, where they will be provided refreshments afterward, the hospital said in a press release.
“Abrazo Cave Creek Hospital serves patients of all ages and includes a 13-bed emergency department, on-site imaging and eight inpatient rooms. The hospital has been embraced by the community as we are able to offer nearby 24/7 emergency coverage with shorter ER wait times,” Administrator Ashley Mitchel said in the release.
The location is in close range to serve Cave Creek, Carefree and north Valley residents.
Though smaller in size than average Valley hospitals, it offers a variety of services, including inpatient care, ultrasound, minor procedures and CT scans.
“We treat patients from all over the north Valley. Being in Cave Creek, the hospital has seen its share of horseback riding and outdoor activity-related injuries in the ER,” Mitchel said.
“Winter visitors also seek us out when our population goes up during the cooler months. The feedback we get is that patients appreciate the friendly atmosphere and faster service without long ER wait times.”
