PHOENIX — A Bavarian-themed festival meets gameday watch parties in Glendale this weekend, as Oktoberfest comes to Heritage at Sportsman’s Park outside State Farm Stadium on Saturday and Sunday.

The classic beer festival and carnival will host contests, live music and food and drink options from local vendors while mixing in a sports focus over the weekend at the Great Lawn.

LED screen and TVs will show college football and NFL games throughout the event, including the Arizona Cardinals’ road matchup against the Seattle Seahawks Sunday at 1:05 p.m.

General admission tickets are on sale for $25 each day.

VIP tickets — which include one drink per day, buffet access and admission to VIP seating — are going for $65 for one day or $115 for both days.

Saturday’s festivities run from noon-8 p.m. and Sunday’s action is set from 12-5 p.m.

Heritage at Sportsman’s Park is hosting its first Oktoberfest after opening in April.

People of all ages can attend, and tickets are available online.

We want to hear from you.
